Time to file your 2017-2018 FAFSA!
For the 2017-2018 year and beyond, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available on October 1. In the past, the FAFSA opened on January 1 and the FAFSA used the previous year’s tax data. Now, students will file the FAFSA using tax information from two years prior using income information imported electronically from the IRS, using their Data Retrieval Tool (DRT).
Important Notice: Students enrolled in Advanced Certificate Programs and Non Degree status are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid including Federal Direct Loans.
Students enrolled or planning to enroll in the spring, summer, or fall 2017 academic year are eligible to apply for a $2,000 scholarship from DCAcars by submitting an essay entitle, “Driverless Vehicles” by April 30, 2017. Details are available on the DCAcar website.
