Student Discounts

The discounts and resources available to students that are listed below are provided as a convenient reference for the CUNY SPH student body. Please check back frequently for updates.

Some general tips on accessing student discounts:

  1. Always have your student ID available or carry your card with you.
  2. Always ask if a vendor or venue offers student discounts.
  3. Remember to use your student discount (at the checkout line).
  4. Remember to use your student discount when shopping online.
  5. Remember to use your student discount while traveling.

Arts & Culture 

  • NYC-Arts.org (Scroll for free things on specific days of the week.)
  • New York Public Library
    Students are eligible for a New York Public Library (NYPL) card if you live, work or attend school in NYC. In addition to accessing books, a NY Public Library Card may also get you free entry into some museums and events.  For more information and/or to apply for a NY Public Library card visit the link here.
  • Signature Theater: Signature’s Student Membership is a new initiative dedicated to providing access to students from grade school through graduate school and beyond. Memberships are free to sign up, and members will receive a host of Student Member benefits including:   

    • $20 student tickets and $30 guest tickets for all Signature productions 
    • Advanced booking for special Student Nights for each production  
    • Access to student-centered special events including artist talks, masterclasses, backstage tours and more! 
    • A discount at Signature’s café and bookstore
