CUNY SPH Adjunct Associate Professor J. Robin Moon is among 21 executive health care leaders nationwide chosen for the Aspen Health Innovators Fellowship. Dr. Moon and her cohort will embark on a two-year program to strengthen their leadership and develop innovative ventures to improve the health and wellbeing of Americans.

The Health Innovators Fellows will spend four weeks over the course of two years together in Aspen, Colorado, and through various programs during the two years, exploring their leadership, core values, desired legacies, and vision for the health care system. The fellows will commit to launching a leadership venture by the end of the two-year period that will stretch and challenge them and have a positive and lasting impact on health care in the U.S.

Dr. Moon is a social epidemiologist and a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in corporate, NGO/philanthropy, and governmental organizations. In addition to leading various public health programs and healthcare policymaking for the most marginalized populations, she has led various domestic and international research and evaluation initiatives for public health, and developed tools and programs to measure health, economic and social inequity and impact.

“I am so honored and excited about this opportunity to take my public health service to the next level, to deeply challenge myself to contribute to lasting and equitable change for a better world,” Dr. Moon says. “I also hope to bring my Aspen learning into the CUNY SPH classrooms, as I believe strongly that lasting change is only possible by cultivating our future leaders.”

The fellows join more than 3,000 other entrepreneurial leaders from over 60 countries to become members of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).
