The systems science journal club is a monthly meeting space for CUNY SPH students and faculty to come together and learn more about systems modeling methods and discuss their applications to public health research.
This club meets once per month to discuss a selected systems science-related journal article, book chapter, news article, etc. The club will also be hosting other types of events in future meetings, including guest speakers, seminars, and workshop events.
Our next journal club meeting will be on Friday, 10/13 from 12pm-1pm on Zoom. The paper we will be discussing is “Saving lives or harming the healthy?” Overuse and fluctuations in routine medical screening by Authors Özge Karanfil and John Sterman.
