Managing Academic Stress Support Group – CUNY SPH

Facilitator: Ashley Harwood, LMSW

This open support group will assist CUNY SPH students in learning effective strategies and foster mutual support to better manage academic stress and anxiety. Students will review the causes and consequences of academic stress and learn a series of practical coping tools including time management and organizational skills, self-care, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, strategies for combating perfectionism and ways to build a supportive network. A safe space will be provided to learn, share both challenges and successes, and grow together.
