The systems science journal club is a monthly meeting space for CUNY SPH students and faculty to come together and learn more about systems modeling methods and discuss their applications to public health research.
This club meets once per month to discuss a selected systems science-related journal article, book chapter, news article, etc. The club will also be hosting other types of events in future meetings, including guest speakers, seminars, and workshop events.
Our next journal club meeting will be on Thursday, May 11th from 1-2pm and the paper we will be discussing is “Simulating system dynamics of the HIV care continuum to achieve treatment as prevention” by Margaret R. Weeks, David W. Lounsbury, Jianghong Li, Gary Hirsch, Marcie Berman, Helena D. Green, Lucy Rohena, Rosely Gonzalez, Jairo M. Montezuma-Rusca, and Seja Jackson.
The meeting will be offered in hybrid format with an in-person meeting option at the CUNY SPH campus room 534 and an option to join virtually on zoom.
We hope you can join us! Please RSVP to this event using the provided Eventbrite link, where you will gain access to the zoom link for the meeting along with a link to the article.
This event is open to all CUNY SPH students and faculty. Our goal is to make this an open space for anyone interested in exploring systems science methods, regardless of prior experience.
