Stress Management Support Group

Student Wellness Counselor, Sherry Adams, will facilitate a weekly open support group for students that will promote use of adaptive coping skills and the mutual aid dynamic. In conjunction with group participants Sherry will share strategies for managing time, academic and personal stressors, and address the emotional impact of enduring simultaneous pandemics. This group will be a safe and affirming space for SPH students coping with a range of challenges to offer and receive support during these trying times. There will be opportunities for creative expression as a method of stress management and mindfulness exercises will be incorporated. This support group will meet virtually on Tuesday at 5pm, from March 2nd through May 11th.

The creation of this group has been informed by the Student Wellness Survey responses.
