S. V. Subramanian is a Professor of PopulationHealth and Geography atthe Harvard Chan School of Public Health, and a senior faculty at the HarvardCenter for Population and Development Studies. Dr. Subramanian has publishedextensively in the field of social and contextual determinants of health,health inequalities in India with a special emphasis on nutritionalinequalities among children and adults, and applied multilevel statisticalmodels. He was the first to develop a course on the concept and application ofmultilevel statistical methods at Harvard, which he has been successfullyteaching at Harvard Chan since 2001, as well as around the world.
