Governance Council Meeting

The next Governance Council (GC) Meeting will be held in person on Wednesday, March 26, from 1:30pm – 3:30pm in the auditorium (room 708). This is an open meeting and all are welcome.

Please note:

In accordance with the CUNY Board of Trustees’ Policy 2.20, which establishes attendance procedures for meetings subject to the open meetings law, all such meetings must be conducted in person and thus, the in-person attendance of the voting members of the Governance Council (GC) is required. There will be no virtual option provided for this meeting.

We hope to discuss and hold a vote on an amendment to our governance document regarding remote attendance. A 2/3 vote in favor is required to change our governance document. Through the fall and early spring, our average attendance has been about 2/3 of voting members. I have written to several members personally, but I ask all members to please make every effort to attend.

Building Access:

“CUNY students, faculty and staff access the building by presenting a valid CUNY SPH ID card or other CUNY ID card. Non-CUNY visitors having qualifying reasons to enter must show a picture ID and sign in at the lobby desk” [1st floor] (CUNY SPH, 2025). Non-CUNY visitors may then proceed to the 7th floor security desk. The Governance Council Meeting will be held in the 7th floor Auditorium, Room 708.
