CUNY SPH offers a variety of academic partnerships with other universities and institutions.

Who is it for? Undergraduate students at Badr University in Cairo
Description of program The 4+1 Accelerated Graduate Degree Program at CUNY SPH is a flexible, accelerated pathway that allows eligible undergraduate BUC students to get a jump start on graduate-level coursework for students interested in a career in public health. 
Eligibility requirements
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 on a 4.0 US GPA scale
  • Have completed the second year of your bachelor’s program at BUC
  • Have been approved for preliminary admission by the BUC Admissions Committee
  • Submit official academic transcripts, along with a credential evaluation from World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), or Globe
  • Submit official scores from the TOEFL English language proficiency exam with an internet-based test score ≥60 (reading + writing + listening score)
  • Submit 500-word personal statement explaining your academic and professional interest in the accelerated program
  • Meet any additional CUNY SPH program-specific requirements

Who is it for? Current students enrolled in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Description of program This pathway allows medical students to complete a five-year program resulting in a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Einstein, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from CUNY SPH. Successful completion of this program will result in an MPH degree conferred by CUNY SPH, and separately, an MD degree conferred by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Please note: This is not a dual degree program; all requirements for each degree must be fulfilled, and credits from one institution cannot be applied to the other. 
Eligibility requirements Good academic standing at Einstein. Students will be expected to maintain a 3.7 GPA in online CUNY SPH courses.

Who is it for? Fellows at the Institute for Family Health
Description of program The Institute for Family Health (IFH) and its 31 health centers offers a two year research fellowship program in family medicine to train medical practitioners in community health research. The fellowship is designed to train practicing family medicine physicians in the fundamentals of clinical and population health research and to advance research in the field of family medicine in New York by helping develop clinicians into professional researchers with competency in population health. The IFH will provide the IFH fellows support through the payment of applicable tuition and costs of related academic supplies.
Eligibility requirements Must be a current Institute for Family Health fellow
Who is it for? DOHMH Public Health/Preventive Medicine Residents and Fellows
Description of program The Public Health/Preventive Medicine Residency Program, and its associated Fellowship in Public Health Practice, offers a unique learning opportunity combining field experience at DOHMH with study toward a Master of Public Health degree, or supplemental coursework, at CUNY SPH. The residency program trains physicians in health promotion and disease prevention at the population level, ensuring that they acquire the research, administrative, and clinical skills needed to understand and reduce the risks of disease, disability and death for individuals and groups. Graduates have served as leaders in public health practice.

Who is it for? Jacobi students/residents who wish to enroll in an MPH degree program would follow a two year residency track during which time they would complete the requirements for this degree. Jacobi students/residents who wish to enroll in the certificate program would complete those requirements during a one year residency track.
Description of program Jacobi Medical Center is a pre-eminent research-intensive healthcare facility whose mission is to provide patient care and prepare a diverse body of students and residents to become compassionate dentists and innovative scientific investigators, and to create new knowledge.
Eligibility requirements Dental students/residents enrolled at Jacobi who are pursuing their residency and are in good academic standing. 
Who is it for? CUNY SPH master’s students in the Epidemiology & Biostatistics track
Description of program This fellowship offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture and expand their academic perspectives in Madrid, Spain while acquiring invaluable skills that will serve them well in their future public health careers. Courses completed at the University of Alcalá (UAH) will satisfy requirements of the CUNY SPH master’s program in Epi-Bios, and students will receive a certificate from UAH.
Eligibility requirements
  • CUNY SPH master’s students in the Epidemiology & Biostatistics track
  • Applicants must be a second-year, full-time master’s student in good academic standing
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in international studies and cultural exchanges
  • Applicants not selected for the fellowship are still eligible to participate in the semester abroad program, but will be required to cover the cost of tuition and accommodations
  • Submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words; address why you are applying for the fellowship and what you hope to gain from the experience
  • Submit academic transcript that includes your most recent semester completed
