Dr. Michele Kiely is the Associate Dean for Research.
She is an established researcher in the field of health disparities, with a special interest in reduction of infant mortality and of intimate partner violence. Her experience reflects a broad range of pediatric and obstetric health issues—including disabilities in children, health care access and utilization in mothers and children; and investigations of a randomized controlled trial to improve risk factors, thus improving pregnancy outcomes among high-risk minority women. Dr. Kiely has a broad background including working at the National Institutes of Health (Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child health and Human Development), the Office of the United States Surgeon General, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau/Health Resources and Services Administration, as well as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the State of New York.
