Dr. Waldron’s work will seek to bridge gaps between high-throughput biology and public health, and bring together the University of Trento CIBIO with CUNY SPH on topics of common interest.
Dr. Waldron will develop and teach a graduate-level course titled Applied Statistics for High-Throughput Biology. His research will include microbiome analysis for population-representative samples such as the NYC-HANES project, and enhanced estimation of the cancer proteome from transcriptome assays.
