The CUNY SPH Office of Experiential Learning and Career Services (OEL/OCS) is thrilled to announce Abigail Goldberg’s appointment as its program specialist.
Abigail first joined the OEL/OCS team in 2023 as a special projects assistant. She supported the office’s Career Skills Academy program, employer partnerships, and Handshake platform to connect students and alumni with meaningful career opportunities. Abigail most recently served as OEL/OCS’s program coordinator, where she expanded this work by cultivating and growing strategic local and national employer partnerships, collaboratively planning and executing high-impact career programming, and strengthening operational workflows that support OEL/OCS services.
In her new role as program specialist, Abigail will build on this foundation by taking on broader responsibility for career development and experiential learning programming, employer and professional partnerships across OEL/OCS initiatives including the school’s new master’s degree in Sexual and Reproductive Justice and Health, and strategic projects that support the evolving needs of the CUNY SPH community.
With experience in program management in the nonprofit social services sector, Abigail brings a strong foundation in partnership building and systems development that promote equitable access to professional opportunities. She earned her MPH in community health from CUNY SPH, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and holds a BS in integrative neuroscience from Binghamton University, where she received the BOLD 10 Under 10 Award (Bearcats of the Last Decade) in 2024 in recognition of her contributions to the field of public health.
Outside of work, Abigail enjoys film photography, hiking, discovering new coffee shops, visiting farmers markets, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
Please join us in welcoming Abigail to her new role. She can be reached at Abigail.Goldberg@sph.cuny.edu.
