Clarivate’s 2025 Highly Cited Researchers include five from CUNY SPH

Five CUNY SPH faculty and senior scholars are featured among Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers for 2025.

Dean Ayman El-Mohandes, Professor Jeffrey Lazarus, Senior Scholar Kenneth Rabin, Distinguished Lecturer Scott Ratzan, and Professor Levi Waldron made the list among the top 1% of researchers cited in their field of research.

Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field, reflected in their publication of multiple papers ranking in the top 1% of citations for their field and publication year. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are one in 1,000.

The rigorous evaluation and selection process draws on data from Clarivate’s Web of Science Core Collection™ citation index, together with qualitative analysis performed by experts at the organization’s Institute for Scientific Information. The list provides valuable insights into the global landscape of top research talent and identifies trends across countries, regions and institutions.

This is the second consecutive year that Dean El-Mohandes and Professor Lazarus have been featured, and Professor Waldron was recognized in 2022.
