CUNY SPH is delighted to announce that Sumana Chandra, MPH, has been appointed executive director of communications and marketing, after serving as director of communications and college relations at the school since 2021.
In this new role, Sumana will oversee the Office of Communications and Marketing, driving strategic communications and marketing initiatives to advance the school’s mission, reputation, and reach. The Marketing and Communications departments will operate as distinct, yet collaborative units within the office.

An alumna of CUNY SPH, Sumana holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from the University of Michigan.
