CUNY SPH celebrates 10 years of public health excellence

This year, CUNY SPH proudly marks its 10th anniversary as an independent school.

Founded in 2016, CUNY SPH brought together programs once scattered across four CUNY campuses to create one cohesive, dynamic home for public health education and research. Ten years later, the school has grown into a nationally top-ranked institution: student enrollment has nearly doubled, degree programs have expanded dramatically, graduation rates remain exemplary, and research funding has nearly quintupled.

But the true story of our success cannot be told through numbers alone. It reflects the vision of our dean, the steadfast support of university leadership, and the dedication of our faculty, students, staff, and alumni. CUNY SPH is a school of, by, and for New York—enriching the public health workforce and improving health outcomes across the city and beyond.
