We are delighted to announce that Melissa Been has been appointed Financial Aid and Scholarships Specialist.
Melissa has worked with the Office of Financial Aid and the Registrar at CUNY SPH as an Enrollment Specialist for the past three years. She will be stepping into her new role with over fifteen years of experience in financial aid.
Melissa’s prior track record at CUNY includes positions at City Tech, Baruch College and Queens College, where she oversaw the Work Study program. Thus, she offers CUNY SPH a wealth of knowledge and expertise in financial aid services, university systems, organizational skills and the ability to meet the needs of students.
In her new position, she hopes to create a seamless process for the distribution and tracking of scholarships. Excited for her new appointment, she will be working with other departments in an effort to support the growth of the school and the success of our students.
Melissa holds a B.P.S. degree in Applied Management from Medgar Evers College and an M.P.A in Public Policy and Administration from John Jay College. Her educational and professional background has provided her with the knowledge and skills to continue to excel at CUNY SPH.
