Robyn Gertner appointed Executive Director of Academic Strategy and Operations

We are pleased to announce that Robyn Gertner, formerly director of Academic Affairs, has been appointed Executive Director of Academic Strategy and Operations in the Office of Academic Affairs.

In this new and expanded role, Robyn will oversee efforts related to accreditation, assessment, academic student support, and institutional research. She will continue to support the development and implementation of new curricula.

Robyn joined CUNY SPH in 2014, prior to the school’s consolidation. Before that, she worked at a small junior college, with students traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Robyn earned her master’s degree in writing from Columbia University and has spent a number of years teaching English composition and reading fundamentals at all levels of education. She is most interested in the ways in which writing skills can be implemented across non-writing curricula, including public health.
