CUNY SPH continues to rank among the top graduate schools of public health in the U.S. News & World Report’s national rankings for 2023. Of the 195 public health schools and programs in the nation, the school ranked among the top 15 percent. It is rated the number one best public school of public health in both New York City and New York State and is tied with Rutgers as the best in the tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) region.
“These rankings are a testament to the great strides CUNY SPH has made since its consolidation only six years ago,” says Dean Ayman El-Mohandes. “The recognition reflects our commitment as a public institution to provide access to excellence in graduate education.”
CUNY SPH continues to evolve and respond to the changing face of public health, growing and modifying its programs to ensure graduates are optimally equipped to meet the pressing public health challenges of tomorrow. Students benefit from the extraordinary commitment of faculty to create experiential learning opportunities to enhance their skills, professional networks, and ultimately their careers.
“I look forward to what the years ahead will bring as we continue to grow as an institution,” El-Mohandes adds.
