Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kenneth Rabin to CUNY SPH as a Senior Scholar. Dr. Rabin has more than forty years of experience in public affairs, health communication, and education, and he serves as special projects editor of the Journal of Health Communication: International Perspectives which is housed at CUNY SPH.
Over the past two months, Dr. Rabin has brought his considerable talents to supporting the CUNY SPH COVID-19 Weekly Tracking Survey. As a CUNY SPH Senior Scholar, he will serve as an advisor and mentor to our students in the new MS in Health Communication degree program and collaborate on our efforts to expand the school’s public health communication efforts.
“I have learned so much from working with Dean El-Mohandes and the team at CUNY SPH during these difficult few months,” said Dr. Rabin. “I have found myself drawing on all my professional experience to help identify the health communications solutions we are implementing here and now. Being appointed a Senior Scholar at CUNY SPH is the highest honor of my career. I hope that once we have all passed the harsh test of managing COVID-19, we can start to work together on new health communications initiatives to benefit the next generation of SPH students.”
