The panel brought together activists working towards reproductive rights, healthcare and education, particularly for women of color.
During the panel, Roberts, who co-edited an anthology that documents the movement called Radical Reproductive Justice and published by Feminist Press in November, explained, “There is a different level of care afforded to people of color, indigenous people, poor people and trans people. I think that is systemic. And that devaluing and that stigmatizing gets in the way of quality care.” The event was covered by the news website Mic.com.
