CUNY SPH and Hunter College Assistant Professor Levi Waldron has been selected to be a 2015-2016 Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Professor for a six month period at the Center for Integrative Biology (CIBIO) at the University of Trento. Dr. Waldron’s work will seek to bridge gaps between high-throughput biology and public health, and bring together the University of Trento CIBIO with CUNY SPH on topics of common interest.
Dr. Waldron will develop and teach a graduate-level course titled Applied Statistics for High-Throughput Biology. His research will include microbiome analysis for population-representative samples such as the NYC-HANES project, and enhanced estimation of the cancer proteome from transcriptome assays.
