CUNY Immigration Assistance Program (CIAP)

CUNY Immigration Assistance Project (CIAP) is a new rapid response legal resource for those impacted by recent immigration policy changes. Services offered through the program are available for currently enrolled CUNY students and employees.

These community members can request a consultation with an attorney for the following services:

  • Detained Students, Faculty, or Staff
  • F-1 Student Issues
  • Immigration Court Hearings / USCIS Interview
  • International / Domestic Travel
  • Loss / Change of Status
  • Preparing for immigration court hearings  and USCIS interviews

Hours of Service:
Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
In-person and remote appointments available.

CUNY students, faculty and staff can use this form to request a consultation with an immigration attorney.

If a current CUNY student, faculty or staff member is detained, they or their family members should email immigrationhelp@cuny.edu.
