Graduate school has a way of keeping you constantly in motion, but your well-being shouldn’t be the last thing on your to-do list. That’s why Counseling and Wellness Services is inviting you to slow down and take care of yourself during our annual CUNY SPH Student Wellness Week from April 20–24, 2026.
This year’s theme, Recharge, Refresh, Rebalance, is a reminder that sustainable success starts with a healthy foundation. When we make space to care for ourselves, we become more present, more resilient, and more capable of doing the work that matters to us.
We invite you to pause and remember that the most important investment you can make this week is in yourself. Sign up today for the events that feel right to you!
Steady Yourself: Tools for Navigating Societal Stressors
Mon, Apr 20 | 5pm – 6pm | Zoom | RSVP
Feeling the weight of the world lately? This workshop, led by Counseling and Wellness Services counselor Sherry Adams, is a space to make sense of what’s happening in your body and mind when societal stressors feel overwhelming.
Drawing on Polyvagal Theory and other evidence-based practices, we’ll explore how your nervous system responds to stress and how to work with it rather than against it.
Through body-based practices, reflection, and honest conversation, you’ll leave with tools to recognize steady yourself in difficult moments and set boundaries that protect your energy. Because surviving hard times is easier together, we’ll close by exploring how to build resilience in community with others.
