Given this remarkable performance, New York State’s Value-Based Payment (VBP) program designated SOMOS IPA as a VBP Innovator; SOMOS IPA is the only physician-led organization to earn that distinction. SOMOS Community Care is a not-for-profit organization comprised of a network of more than 2,500 independent physicians that care for nearly one million Medicaid patients, predominantly of Hispanic and Asian ethnicity in 4 boroughs of New York City and Nassau County.
