We are proud to share that CUNY SPH and the Center for Innovation in Mental Health (CIMH) will co-host the 24th World Congress of Psychotherapy in partnership with the World Federation for Psychotherapy, taking place in New York City, June 4 – 6, 2026.

The Congress will explore the theme: “Psychotherapy, Mental Health, and Human Rights: Caring for Vulnerable Populations, Humanitarian Relief Workers, and Healthcare Professionals.”

This is a unique opportunity for our faculty, staff, and students to engage with leading international scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in mental health and psychotherapy.

  • June 4: Opening Day at the United Nations Headquarters (by invitation), featuring CUNY speakers participating in plenary panels.
  • June 5 – 6: Main Congress sessions at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Registration fees will be waived for all CUNY SPH faculty, staff, and students with a valid CUNY ID, and these days are open to all attendees.

We warmly encourage members of the CUNY SPH community to register and participate in this landmark global event hosted here in New York City. The deadline to register is April 1, 2026.

If CUNY SPH faculty, staff, or students have questions, please reach out to Francesca McLaren at francesca.mclaren@sph.cuny.edu.
