POSITION: Project Manager
ORGANIZATION: The CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health (ISPH)

The CUNY Institute for Implementation Science in Population Health (ISPH) has a rapidly growing research portfolio, and is recruiting for a Project Manager, whose work will be focused on the managing a large survey of the mental health impact of COVID among New Yorkers.  There will be opportunities to contribute to and advance data collection and dissemination.

The position start date is October 15 (or mutually agreed upon) with a one year hire commitment.  Further extension is dependent on funding availability, performance and research interests aligned with the ISPH.  This can be a remote position, but the candidate must be based in the metro NYC area and willing to come into the field during data collection or as needed.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with title and experience.

Specific duties include:

  • Oversee day-day study progress on ongoing studies; primarily for the launch and completion of the survey, including developing standard operating procedures, and other study protocols;
  • Contribute to data management and preliminary statistical analyses;
  • Work closely with the PI and collaborators to perform research and related support activities including (a) development, implementation, and management of research projects; and (b) preparation of drafts of regulatory protocols and progress reports, manuscripts, budgets, and grant applications;
  • Be responsible for data management and preliminary statistical analysis;
  • Function as the point-of-contact for the CUNY side of the project, and handle study related communication, interacting with donors and stakeholders;
  • Work with the community engagement team on pre- and post-survey community engagement activities;
  • Oversee and train data collectors who are conducting data collection in the field;
  • Facilitate recurring conference calls with relevant stakeholders to discuss study progress and study activities;
  • Coordinate administrative tasks for the investigator including protocol amendment changes and preparation of IRB documents to send to the regulatory specialist.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • PhD or masters in epidemiology, public health, psychology, or similar;
  • Extensive knowledge of research design, data collection, quality control, and research compliance;
  • High level of proficiency in computer applications with extensive knowledge of Microsoft programs and patient tracking databases.

About the CUNY ISPH: The ISPH was founded on the notion that substantial improvements in population health can be efficiently achieved through better implementation of existing strategies, policies, and interventions across multiple sectors. With that in mind, we study how to translate and scale-up evidence-based interventions and policies within clinical and community settings in order to improve population health and reduce health disparities.  The ISPH leads cutting-edge research across a range of topics, including health disparities, HIV, substance use, and mental health.  We utilize innovative methods, including large online national cohorts, discrete choice experiments, quasi-experimental methods, visualization dashboards, and cluster RCT / hybrid trials.

POSITION: Part-time College Assistant

General Duties and Responsibilities

The Office of Admissions seeks a part-time College Assistant to provide clerical and customer support. The College Assistant reports to the Director of Admissions and will be responsible for:

Community practice is a major area of study and practice for the social work profession and a curriculum specialization for many Michigan students. POSITION: Bilingual Producers for Season 3 of the Queens Memory Podcast
ORGANIZATION: MinKwon Center for Community Action

Bilingual Producers for Season 3 of the Queens Memory Podcast Seeking producers fluent in written and spoken English + one of the following eight languages: Bangla, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Nepali, Tagalog, Tibetan, or Urdu. The Queens Public Library is producing a third season of the Queens Memory Podcast. This season’s theme centers on the lived experiences of Asian communities living in Queens and we will dedicate each episode to a different Asian American population living in the borough. Each episode will be produced in English and in a common language of the community represented in that episode. For each of these focused episodes, we will hire a Bilingual Producer to deliver their two 20 minute versions (one in English, one in an Asian language) of the episode telling the story of the political, economic, and other factors that led to that group’s settlement in Queens. Each episode will engage in intergenerational storytelling, the use of personal narrative to discuss broader themes, the presence of the #StopAsianHate movement in Queens, and the inclusion of staff and volunteers working for direct service and advocacy organizations serving each community of focus. Work begins November 2021 and new episodes will drop weekly starting in mid-April 2022. 

Each Bilingual Producer will collaborate with the season’s Executive Producer and Executive Editor to develop the storyline and content of their episode. The team is additionally supported by a composer, bilingual voice talent, and an engineer tasked with ensuring technical excellence. All interviews captured in the creation of the podcast will become part of the Queens Memory Project’s archival collections, held at the Queens Public Library.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a highly-resourced and well-supported program in Creighton University’s newest campus, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The Associate Dean will enjoy state-of-the-art facilities in a brand new 195,000 square foot health sciences campus and strong relationships with committed clinical partnerships. The campus boasts pass rates of 96 to 100% with 99% placement rates after 6 months.  

The Associate Dean for the Phoenix campus, in collaboration with the College of Nursing (CON) main Omaha campus administration, will provide leadership and oversight for effective administration of the Phoenix campus. Responsibilities will include directing Phoenix, AZ on-site activities related to academic policies, personnel policies, curriculum, resources, services, and program evaluation in accordance with policies and procedures of the College of Nursing. The Associate Dean will coordinate outreach efforts in the Phoenix community to facilitate the development of clinical agency relationships, secure clinical contracts, and oversee clinical placements. 

The Associate Dean will collaborate with appropriate administrative personnel to plan for full- and part-time and specialty faculty hiring needs, will provide data and recommendations regarding budgetary needs, and administer and monitor budget allocated to the Phoenix campus. Responsibilities also include overseeing compilation of data required for accreditation and compliance with Arizona, or other, governmental/regulatory requirements. 

Creighton University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Program in Arizona has been approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. 

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at Creighton University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

About the Position

The Senior Research Associate is a key participant in the State-University partnership between the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR). The Senior Research Associate will serve as a principal investigator on contracts leading interdisciplinary research, policy research, or program implementation and trainings translating research findings. Overarching responsibilities include working with the State to leverage their data and conducting relevant policy and evaluation research, or program implementation training. This position reports to the Director of Program Evaluation and Research.
