Opportunities to Participate in Research

Research is a central tenet of CUNY SPH’s mission of promoting and sustaining healthier populations in New York City and around the world and a key component of sound policy advocacy and practice in efforts to improve health outcomes for all.

Below you will find information on opportunities to participate in research studies.

Participation is entirely voluntary and it is up to you to decide whether you will choose to participate in a study. All questions or concerns about a particular study should be addressed to the Principal Investigator (PI) listed with the study. Graduate students seeking to participate in research can get more detailed information on ethics, training, and conflicts of interest here.

Principal Investigator

If you have questions, contact Lucero Herrera, Principal Investigator (luceroherrera@ucla.edu), or Jenny Kim, Study Coordinator (jjkim@irle.ucla.edu)

Description

The UCLA Dream Resource Center is conducting an online survey to hear from undocumented Asian American Pacific Islander students about their experience within higher education about access to resources and opportunities. We are interested in learning about developing strategies to promote access and addressing the educational opportunity inequity. The data will be compiled into a final report that will be released at the end of 2024.

Online survey will be about 30 minutes and participants will receive a $20 e-gift card at the completion of the survey.

You must be 18 years or older to participate, identify as an AAPI, be undocumented (DACA, Non-DACA, TPS, etc) or formerly undocumented, and be attending/have attended a college or university in California, Texas, or New York, with enrollment after 2012.
