CUNY Reconnect is an initiative to help more adults return to higher education. Whether your goal is to learn new skills, boost your career, or complete a degree or certificate, Reconnect provides personalized support to help you navigate your next move.

What is CUNY Reconnect?

CUNY Reconnect is a new initiative that helps re-enroll CUNY students who were previously enrolled at a CUNY school and earned some credits, but left school before finishing their degree.

Why should you reconnect?

CUNY Reconnect will put you in touch with a CUNY SPH advisor who will help you achieve your educational and career goals by:

  • Re-enrolling into the right program (We now offer fully online MPH programs!)
  • Understanding cost and financial aid options
  • Sharing available services and resources (e.g., childcare and counseling services)
  • Anything else you may need to meet your goals
  • Providing guidance on financial aid, scholarships, or emergency grants (as available)

We are here to help

CUNY Reconnect can help you no matter what your path may be: if you have some credits and want to finish your degree, are looking to change career paths, or didn’t didn’t finish your program because of the pandemic.

How to Reconnect at CUNY SPH?

Students registered for courses at CUNY SPH in previous semesters who have not been in attendance for one or more semesters will need to submit a re-admission request* to continue in their program. The application should only be filed by students not already on an approved Leave of Absence.

The SPH Admissions Office will reach out directly once your request has been reviewed by the appropriate academic department.

To ensure a seamless return to your program, students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the Advising Office to review curriculum requirements and create a plan for the remaining coursework as well as referrals to appropriate Student Services for additional support and guidance.

*Note that a one-time fee of $20 will be added to the tuition bill at the time of registration. Please do not send the application fee when filing your application.
