Join Emmy Award-winning video director/instructional designer Laura Meoli-Ferrigon in this on-demand webinar which shares practical tips for faculty seeking to modernize their online courses. We’ll focus on strategies to create engaging, accessible, and AI-proof courses, with a special spotlight on the 2024 redesign of CUNY SPH’s *Public Health Leadership & Management* course (PUBH 610).

Learn how to create a consistent and predictable course layout, integrate diverse learning content (like videos, podcasts, and modern graphics) as well as interactive activities to boost student engagement. Let’s explore the benefits of a flipped classroom approach, empowering educators to deliver concise, pre-recorded lectures while maximizing live sessions for hands-on learning.

A key feature of the webinar was the PUBH 610 course redesign, which showcased collaborative efforts between faculty experts and the Office of Online Learning team at CUNY SPH. Laura led the creative direction, ensuring lecture content was seamlessly translated to video with polished visuals and templates. Instructional designer Polina Kadatska introduced interactive assessments to enhance engagement, while video specialist Nicholas Chiofalo ensured high quality, accessible video lectures. Together, this team delivered a high-quality learning experience that highlights the power of multimedia and innovative course design.

No matter your comfort with graphic design or media production, this webinar will provide actionable resources for professors to modernize their course content.
