CUNY SPH is delighted to welcome Katherine Hartley to the Sexual and Reproductive Justice Hub team as press relations manager.
Katherine is a New York-based public relations professional with over seven years of experience building strategic communications campaigns across the hospitality, travel, and CPG industries.
Driven by a deep commitment to women’s health and equity, Katherine is transitioning her career into public health, currently pursuing an advanced certificate at CUNY SPH and planning to complete her MPH. She is especially interested in reproductive justice, the benefits of early sexual health education, and addressing health inequities. In addition to her press relations role at the SRJ Hub, Katherine serves as secretary for CUNY SPH’s Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights & Justice Club and sits on the YouthASC Student Advisory Board, helping to expand access to medication abortion on CUNY campuses.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, Katherine began her career in Kansas City before moving to NYC in 2018, where she has since applied her expertise to elevate voices and stories through public relations. When she can find the time, Katherine enjoys traveling, photography, and diving into books—currently Zadie Smith’s The Fraud. She is excited to connect and work with a team passionate about advancing reproductive health and justice in this next chapter of her career.
Please join us in welcoming Katherine to this new role. She can be reached at katherine.hartley@sph.cuny.edu.
