CUNY SPH is excited to welcome Julie D’Aprile to the staff as the Electronic Communications Manager.
Before joining CUNY SPH, Julie freelanced as a producer, writer, and project manager. She created short and long-form video content for television networks, the web, and social media. For more than a decade, her work touched on all facets of production, including planning, writing, directing, and editing.
With an education in media and journalism, Julie’s writing has been published in major newspapers. She was recently the head of communications for the nonprofit North Brooklyn Community Boathouse, where she redesigned and relaunched the organization’s branding, website, and social media channels.
In her spare time, Julie is an avid sea kayaker who enjoys boxing classes and is learning to play basketball. She’s been a long-time volunteer and team leader with New York Cares, currently assisting students from Emerald Isle Immigration Center study for their U.S. citizenship test.
