Dr. Thomas Rouyard

CUNY SPH is delighted to welcome Dr. Thomas Rouyard to the faculty as assistant professor of health policy and management.

Dr. Rouyard earned an MA in economics from the Paris School of Economics and a PhD in population health from the University of Oxford. His primary research focus is to inform the development of evidence-based policies aimed at improving population health and mitigating health disparities. His work encompasses the design and evaluation of such interventions, along with empirical investigations into health-related behaviors using diverse methods such as randomized controlled experiments, micro-econometric analysis of observational data and evidence synthesis.

Prior to joining CUNY SPH, Dr. Rouyard held the position of specially appointed assistant professor at the Research Center for Health Policy and Economics at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. His work has been published in journals such as the BMJ, Nature Medicine, The Lancet Global Health, Health Policy and Planning and Social Science and Medicine.
