Assistant Professor Karmen Williams was accepted into the 2023 cohort of the CUNY Faculty Career Success Fellowship.
For the past two years, approximately 20 faculty from across CUNY have served as the inaugural Career Success Fellows. The fellows have been thinking together about the best ways that CUNY faculty, in all fields, can support students in their future lives and careers.
The 2023 fellows will supplement work by Executive Vice Chancellor & University Provost Wendy Hensel and University Associate Provost Lauren Andersen on additional Careers Across the Disciplines projects, including the creation of a Careers Across the Degree framework and specific, targeted degree mapping and career-readiness training for students (internships, apprenticeships, skills acquisition) with industry partners in health, tech, and business fields.
The fellowship expands upon and complements an array of impactful faculty professional development programs designed to support the integration of career aspirations and preparation into the classroom including the CUNY STEM Pedagogy Institute and the NY Jobs CEO Council Faculty Fellowship.
