POSITION: Graduate Research Associate

ORGANIZATION: CUNY Hunter College, Dept of Psychology 

The Hunter Alliance for Research & Translation (HART) conducts interdisciplinary community-engaged research, broadly focused on gender and sexuality. We partner extensively with local, national, and international collaborators, applying psychological theories and research methods to develop innovative strategies that improve health equity and access.

HART’s mission is to translate research findings into practical implications for service and advocacy organizations, and to develop trainings and technical assistance tools that accelerate the pace of empirically-based practice. 

We are seeking a fully-time (35 hours/week) Research Associate to work across two main projects. The first is a CDC-funded implementation science partnership with the New York City Department of Mental Health and Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) focused on evaluating rollout of the PlaySure Network (PSN) 2.0 strategy for increasing equity in HIV prevention services. The second is a HRSA-funded project designed to support demonstration sites in developing, implementing, and modifying protocols for long-acting injectable antiretroviral treatment (LAI ARV).

POSITION: Data Governance Business Systems Analyst (grant-funded position)

ORGANIZATION: Public Health Solutions / NYC DOHMH

NYC DOHMH has an opening for a Data Governance Business Systems Analyst, reporting to Director of Data Governance  and Informatics, in the Bureau of Epidemiology Services.

The person in this position will assess existing systems governing data access authorizations, use and disclosure, and will facilitate the development of an Administrative Data Governance Tracking and Audit System with expandability to an interoperative system to manage and authorize sharing of confidential COVID-19 and other health data. The Business Systems Analyst will conduct process and gap analyses of the current systems and use the information gathered to propose systems that will operate to meet a select scope of the business requirements.

The selected candidate will be an employee of Public Health Solutions, a nonprofit organization which is the fiscal and administrative manager of the grant but will work be supervised by DOHMH.  This individual must reside in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) by their confirmed start date. Preference may be given to individuals residing in New York City (5 boroughs) or surrounding New York State counties. This individual will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies. POSITION: Strategic Information Advisor/ Data Analyst (S/GAC PRIME)

POSITION: Clinical Assistant, Associate Professor

POSITION: Population and Community Health Faculty

The Health: Science, Society and Policy (HSSP) program at Brandeis University invites applications and nominations for a faculty position focused on population health, community health, and health equity. This position is a non-tenured teaching position at the rank of Associate Professor of the Practice with an expected start in Fall 2023. We are seeking an energetic instructor with experience in population and community health to teach undergraduates in a vibrant interdisciplinary program that includes faculty from across the university.

This “professor of the practice” position is geared toward individuals with relevant and teaching experience who can make connections between the formal healthcare systems and the social determinants of health, including poverty, race/ethnicity, and urban/rural environments. We seek individuals who can teach in areas of health disparities, health communications, and community health. Area of secondary specialization is open, and could include a focus on nutrition, aging, environmental health, global health, or a focused clinical area. 

The ideal candidate should have both relevant and teaching experience. We welcome applicants who have experience working in health systems engaging with vulnerable populations and hold a terminal degree in medicine/health professions (including MD, DO, NP, RN, PA or similar), public health, health/social policy, social work, law, social sciences, or similar field. POSITION: Public Health Program Associate

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as coordinating liaison to Global Ambassador and Cardiovascular Health Program Partners to ensure consistent reporting and communications, both within the Foundation and with external partners.
  • Provide critical reviews of monthly, quarterly, and annual partner reports, coordinating feedback, and synthesizing information for internal reporting; Monitor and follow up with partners on any unexpected report items or deviation from expected deliverables

You’ll need to have:

  • Masters degree in epidemiology, public health or related field
  • At least 4 years’ of work experience in the field of public health, preferably in a global context
  • Commitment, coupled with hands-on experiences, working in support of our Public Health team’s programs and values.
  • Track record of reviewing public health data and analysis, crafting data driven reports, memos and presentations; with a sharp eye for accuracy and detail and that can be interpreted by a wide audience, including non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in working within partnerships and in diverse settings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills showcasing a capacity to synthesize information and develop compelling narratives
