POSITION: Research Assistant (part-time)

The CUNY Institute for Implementation Science and Population Health (ISPH) is seeking a part-time (up to 19 hours per week) Research Assistant to support the study on “HIV Prevention study with Men who Have Sex with Men.” This position is starting as soon as possible through February 2023, with salary of $17/ hour.
The Research Assistant will be primarily responsible for assembling HIV and STI test kits that will be sent to participants enrolled in a national HIV prevention study. The assistant position will require working with a team in-person, to carefully assemble various components of test kit packages that will be sent to participants across the country.

- Ability to pay close attention to details
- Protect confidential participant information
- Work on a team assembling packages for participants and ensure that materials are assembled correctly

POSITION: Research Assistant – (part-time, remote, bilingual Spanish/English)

The CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (SPH) has a rapidly growing research portfolio, and is recruiting for multiple part-time research assistants (10 hours per week), whose work will involve data collection, entry, and analysis, community engagement, and community partner outreach and support. This work will be part of mixed methods project to build community-based organizations’ capacity to foster health literacy in their New York City communities.
The position start date is immediate (or mutually agreed upon) and is expected to span a 13-month timeframe. Further extension is dependent on funding availability, performance and research interests aligned with SPH. This can be a partially remote position. The candidate must be based in the metro NYC area and available to come into the field during data collection or as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or advanced undergraduate student with research experience), Master’s degree (or in progress) in epidemiology, community health, psychology, or similar.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Experience (or coursework) conducting community-based research
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)

POSITION: Graduate Research Assistant
ORGANIZATION: CUNY Hunter College, Dept of Psychology
The Hunter Alliance for Research & Translation (HART) conducts interdisciplinary, community-engaged research, broadly focused on gender and sexuality. We partner extensively with local, national, and international collaborators, applying psychological theories and research methods to develop innovative strategies that improve health equity and access.
HART’s mission is to translate research findings into practical implications for service and advocacy organizations, and to develop trainings and technical assistance tools that accelerate the pace of empirically-based practice.
We are seeking a part-time (16-30 hours/week) Graduate Research Assistant to work across several HIV-related implementation science research projects (funded by NIH and CDC). The focus of this position is data analysis, including conducting basic and complex analyses of electronic medical record (EMR) data, service delivery data, and psychosocial survey data.
There are opportunities to participate in both peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations, as well as the possibility to conduct secondary analyses for a master’s or doctoral research project.
This is a hybrid position, which would require on-site work (on Hunter’s 68th street campus) 1-2 days/week (~50% time). The salary is $25-$29/hour, based on experience.

POSITION: Presidential Management Fellow (PMF)

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Each year, candidates apply to the program in efforts to be selected as Finalists. Finalists are then eligible for appointment as Presidential Management Fellows (Fellows; PMFs) at a participating Federal agency. The PMF Program is an opportunity for advanced degree holders across all academic disciplines and from all segments of society.
Timeline: The PMF Class of 2023 Application will be open from September 13-September 27, 2022. The application will be accessible via an announcement on USAJOBS (www.USAJOBS.gov) once the application opens. During the months of August/September 2022, there will be a host of informational webinars for applicants. The informational webinars will provide a general overview of the PMF Program, details about the 2023 application cycle (including changes effective with this year’s assessment process), and if time permits, allow for any questions. POSITION: Postdoctoral Fellow – Aging/Age Related Disorders
ORGANIZATION: Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
Regeneron’s Aging/Age-Related Disorders group is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat Age-Related disorders through an enhanced understanding of the mechanisms of Aging. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow with a strong publication record as a graduate student, and some familiarity/background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and gene expression. A background in either Aging biology or Skeletal Muscle biology is helpful, but not mandatory. The fellow would be mentored by David Glass, who directs the Aging program at Regeneron.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
- Identifying novel mechanisms relevant to understanding age-regulated mechanisms which may impact disease.
- Provide research progress reports to supervisors and the postdoctoral program committee.
- Participate in postdoctoral program activities such as weekly meetings and annual research conference.
This role might be for you if:
- You are PhD or MD with strong scientific credentials
- You have a prior record of first-author publications
- You have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a highly interactive environment.
This role requires a minimum of a PhD and/or MD, with at least 3 years of research experience. The postdoctoral fellow position is for early career scientist trainees to receive a rigorous scientific training at Regeneron under the auspices of a scientist mentor for up to four years. Fellows will be expected to conduct creative exploratory research that results in publications.

POSITION: Postdoctoral Fellow – NIH Funded study

The post-doctoral fellow will contribute to a new NIH-funded study titled, “Crisis Response, Durable Lessons: A Mixed Methods Examination of a Large-Scale Hoteling Intervention for People Experiencing Homelessness in NYC During the COVID-19 Pandemic” with Dr. Kelly Doran at NYU School of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow for a 2-year position in New York City. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using research as a mechanism to improve health for people experiencing homelessness, and will hold a doctoral degree in epidemiology, sociology, public health, population health, urban science, public policy, or a related field. This project is a community-partnered, mixed methods research study to examine health impacts of a large-scale initiative to place over 9,000 homeless New Yorkers into commercial hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic.

POSITION: Postdoctoral Fellow – Public Health/Pop Health Informatics

The School of Public Health at the University of Memphis invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in public/population health informatics research starting September 1, 2022. The broader area of research includes design, development and implementation of human centered informatics enabled interventions to enhance population health outcomes. Individuals with some experience in evaluating health technologies among populations living in diverse settings. Individual should have prior experience in design and development of consumer health informatics systems to deliver tailored and culturally contextually relevant interventions tailored to address the needs of the diverse users. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Ashish Joshi to expand, public/population health informatics research projects both in local, national and global settings. Individuals will develop collaborative manuscripts and prepare grant applications from a multidisciplinary perspective. The initial appointment period will be for 12 months, with a possibility of extending to the second year based on performance and funding availability.
Minimum Qualification and Experience: The candidate should have a Ph.D. (or have successfully defended dissertation prior to the start date) in a relevant discipline such as Health Informatics, Public Health, or Health Policy or informatics related experience.
