Alumna Zoe Schacht-Levine was accepted to the New York State Assembly Internship, where she will be assisting assembly members with speaking to constituents, researching proposed policies, writing legislation, and mentoring undergraduates.
The New York State Assembly Internship provides full-time legislative research and policy analysis positions with Assembly leaders, committees, and research staffs. Up to 10 qualified individuals are selected each year to participate in this professional development program.
Schacht-Levine graduated this year with an MPH in Community Health and Social Sciences. Before graduating she served as GSGA President, founded the CUNY Climate Coalition, and was a delegate in the University Student Senate. She has been working as a Case Investigator in the NYC Test and Trace Corps since May 2020 and continues to work with Healthy CUNY on the health insurance research she worked on for her fieldwork and capstone.
“I am going to miss NYC but am excited to keep helping New Yorkers and serving my community on a larger scale,” Schacht-Levine says.
