POSITION: Study Coordinator

The Hunter Alliance for Research and Translation (HART) is seeking a full-time Study Coordinator to work on a CDC-funded research project. The Study Coordinator will work on a CDC-funded implementation science project in partnership with the New York City Department of Mental Health and Hygiene (NYCDOHMH). Description of Position

We are looking for a PMF who loves developing data sets, asking critical questions, and finding innovative solutions for monitoring and evaluation topics.
In particular, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collect, report and visualize performance metrics from workers’ rights programs and policy engagement in support of the office’s Agency Management Plan;
- Develop and administer program evaluation contracts that examine the effectiveness and sustainability of international programs and policies;
- Assist with the creation of monitoring and evaluation plans for international technical assistance programming.
Collecting, Reporting and Visualizing Performance Metrics
Three federal laws require the government to produce and report on performance metrics and to use evidence to develop new policies and programs. ILAB implements these laws is through its strategic plan, called the Agency Management Plan. During this rotation, you will support this very important mission by innovating new ways to collect and organize performance data, analyzing information for trends and visualizing the data, and reporting on progress from international technical assistance programs and policy engagement. You will also help to create new process and develop procedures for ensuring that data are collected consistently in the future.
Program Evaluations
ILAB contracts program evaluations of its technical assistance projects to determine whether the projects are effective, sustainable, and are making progress toward achieving planned results. You will assist with administering the evaluation contracts by reviewing methodology plans, reviewing evaluation reports, and liaising with the contractor and office for reviews. You will also be able to share evaluation results through learning events, developing and implementing dissemination plans, and looking for opportunities to incorporate learnings from the evaluations in new project development and office policies.
Monitoring and Evaluation Plans
The office is in the process of implementing a new theory of change for its technical assistance projects, and you will have an opportunity to help the roll out this process. The work will entail creating operational procedures for how to apply the theory of change, mapping existing project performance indicators to the new theory of change, and providing guidance to projects implementing these plans. You can also help to develop a new method for collecting and organizing the data generated from this theory of change and its performance metrics.
This developmental position may also include opportunities to engage in other program activities supporting our office mission, such as:
- Conducting research to support the development of new technical assistance programming,
- Identifying new research and evaluation opportunities to expand our work in building an evidence-base in the office,
- Developing briefing materials and materials for public outreach, or
- Taking the lead on data analytics.

Job Description
NMQF is looking for an AWS certified analytics engineer (AE) to manage our community data lake. This person will be responsible for the engineering and operation of the data lake and adjunct analytical platforms. In this highly visible role, the AE will influence design and implementation of solutions to ingest, transform and deliver data in AWS for analytics and machine Learning, leveraging tools like EMR, Glue, Kinesis, and SageMaker. The AE will accelerate our transformation from a hybrid education and research organization into cloud-based health information and services agency capable of meeting the information needs of internal cross functional teams as well as those of external BIPOC serving organizations.
Responsibilities
The AE will be a member of the NMQF executive team responsible for the strategy design and tactical execution of our community data lake, being client facing in some capacities and acting as a trusted internal source in all capacities. The AE will work with our cross functional team to engineer and develop cloud solutions that align with transformative organizational strategies and requirements.
The AE will design scalable, resilient and pragmatic solutions using AWS Analytics Services which meet technical, security, and business needs for applications and workloads. Assist NMQF migrate and maintain a community data lake. Test and deploy cloud-based services to support real-time analytics workloads. Automate repeatable tasks to create efficiencies in our workflows and enable freedom for innovation. Champion good engineering practices and help teams to define and set up frameworks for cloud adoption and consumption. Job Qualifications
Essential Experience
