POSITION TITLE: Data Analyst Intern

ORGANIZATION: Spire Health

Spire Health’s research team is looking for an exceptional student or graduate for a data analytics internship. The project is part of our impact evaluation project, where we study the performance of our remote patient monitoring (RPM) service after it has been deployed at sites large and small around the U.S.

This is a semi-technical position that requires:

  • Data analytics (python, descriptive statistics, figure rendering)
  • Data coding (organizing, de-identifying, and hand-coding non-physiological clinical data)
  • Presenting (preparing figures for publication, sharing, presenting)

The candidate should be interested in combining the ‘soft’ skills of working with clinical sites to collect data, the ‘hard’ skills of analyzing that data, and the perspective to interpret the data and make conclusions. These results could lead to deeper engagement from the site, product changes, and/or marketing opportunities.

This is a remote-friendly position but will likely require light travel within the U.S. to occasionally be on-site with our customers to aid data collection. We’d like to find a candidate to work with us this summer (full-time) and throughout the school year (part-time is fine). Candidate must be available to work full-time for the last two or three weeks in August and can be part-time after that. This is a paid position.

About Spire

Spire Health is a leader in remote respiratory monitoring. We provide low-burden, high-precision respiratory monitoring and predictive analytics for chronic disease patients. Please see SpireHealth.com. Our technology and clinical oversight system identifies high-risk patients and brings them to providers to provide precision, preventative care.

Application Instructions

Email your resume to Laura.Maltz@sph.cuny.edu by Thursday, July 29th. Cover letters are preferred but not required.
