POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant
ORGANIZATION: CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy 
LOCATION/JOB-TYPE: Remote/Part-time               

The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is seeking a part-time (14 hours/week) Administrative Assistant. This individual will report to the Department Administrator and work on assigned administrative projects for the department PhD and Master’s degree programs. 

Help with the general department organization and administration and undertake specific administrative projects for the Doctoral and Master’s degree programs as assigned. Tasks are likely to include:

  1. Beginning of the semester organization and communication with faculty, adjuncts and     students
  2. Planning, organizing and documenting department meetings, including faculty meetings, dissertation defenses, and the monthly Epi/Bios forum
  3. Help manage doctoral fellowship paperwork and follow
  4. Maintain documents for doctoral student teaching requirement
  5. Identifying recruitment opportunities / organizing recruitment materials and presentations
  6. Depending on the applicant’s background and interest, possible opportunities to conduct research on educational programs, student outcomes, etc. (e.g. analyze job ads for key skills to teach in program, assess the impact of GREs on admissions decision and their predictability for student outcomes)

The Los Angeles County Office of Diversion and Reentry’s Division of Youth Diversion and Development (YDD) is seeking Research Analysts to support data collection, cleaning, analysis, and technical assistance for community-based organizations providing youth diversion and development programming and other partners generating diversion and development data.   

YDD was established in 2018 to provide funding, coordination, capacity and research support to community-based programs in order to advance an evidence-informed model of youth diversion and youth development with the goal of equitably reducing young people’s involvement with the justice system and improving youth and community wellbeing. Since then, YDD has been tasked with supporting collaborative planning focused on policy priorities and a shared vision of reimagining Los Angeles County’s youth justice system by supporting a growing network of community-based youth development organizations. POSITION TITLE: Data Manager
ORGANIZATION: Bellevue Hospital Center

  1. Pull reports from the Epic Reporting Library for Ambulatory Care clinics – workbench or crystal reports, including, but not limited to: Third Next Available Appointment, Cycle Time, Fill Rate, No-Show Rate and Visit Volume
    1. Work with clinic managers to ensure validity, integrity, and accuracy of the data pulled
    2. Create pivot tables, graphs, and/or charts to present data
  2. Prepare and submit monthly Ambulatory Care data reports and dashboard presentations to clinic managers, ambulatory care administration, and hospital leadership
  3. Provide data evidence required for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) accreditation on a monthly basis
  4. Provide data on designated metrics for patients in Bellevue’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO) list
  5. Prepare ad hoc reports requested by clinic managers, ambulatory care administration, and hospital leadership, including to support and document performance-improvement projects
  6. Schedule staff for Epic training classes in PeopleSoft
  7. Serve as Final Approver for non-clinical Ambulatory Care staff – granting/modifying appropriate level of access in Epic via Service-Now

This position will develop standard operational and clinical supports for integrating biomedical prevention, as well as work directly with facility and clinic leaders to operationalize those supports and address local needs. Specific objectives include increasing access and utilization of biomedical HIV prevention services, reducing clinical obstacles and burdens to providing these services, and supporting coordination between clinics providing these services and HIV/Sexual Health clinics.

The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) is the world’s largest publicly funded multi-disciplinary international collaboration facilitating the development of vaccines to prevent HIV/AIDS. Most recently, the COVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN) was formed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the US National Institutes of Health to respond to the global pandemic. Using the infectious disease expertise of their existing research networks and global partners, NIAID has directed the HVTN to utilize their experience and expertise to address the pressing need for vaccines and antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The mission of CoVPN is to conduct Phase 3 Efficacy Trials to prevent infection and COVID-19 disease. CoVPN will work to develop and conduct studies to ensure rapid and thorough evaluation of United States government-sponsored COVID-19 vaccines and antibodies for the prevention of COVID-19 disease.

The Community Engagement Project Manager, HVTN and CoVPN is responsible for coordinating the administrative, logistical and technical aspects of the HVTN and CoVPN community engagement plans for various domestic and international clinical research sites. The incumbent works under the supervision of the Director of Social Behavioral Sciences and Community Engagement (DSBS-CE).

The incumbent provides assistance to existing research sites and assists with the development of new sites, including development of an over-arching community engagement program as well as study-specific recruitment and educational plans and materials. Additionally, the Community Engagement Project Manager supports the respective HVTN and CoVPN teams in the development and implementation of protocols including outreach to key community stakeholders. They are responsible for supporting the Community Education and Recruitment (CER) Staff at research sites, providing support for research sites’ Community Advisory Boards, and support of the HVTN Global CER Working Group and other working groups. Support to research sites includes the logistical arrangements for conference calls, meetings, and ongoing capacity building including assisting with community involvement, training and technical assistance, and materials development. The incumbent provides on-site program evaluation, assistance and training globally, with primary responsibility for a subset of HVTN and CoVPN sites as assigned by the Director.

The Community Engagement Project Manager works with minimal supervision and is expected to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying-out responsibilities within the framework of policies and procedures, and is expected to keep abreast of Clinical Research Site (CRS) needs related to work responsibilities.
