Responsibilities include:
- Assist with development of PowerPoint presentations/lectures
- Assist with the development of quizzes, answer keys, and Blackboard postings
- Assist with grading rubric development and grading
- Provide support to students with content and technical questions
- Help to anticipate and respond to students’ needs
- 100% remote work. Attend some classes to check in with Instructor on rubric and coursework.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to provide direct, critical and supportive feedback to students
- Attentive to details
- Interest in working with students
Job Type: Part-time, 75 hours total for 1 course, 5 hours/week

The College of Nursing at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a Bridge to the Faculty Post-Doctoral Research Associate, to be served in the UIC Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science beginning August 16, 2021.
Program Goals:
The Bridge to the Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate program seeks to advance diversity on the permanent faculty level by encouraging the recruitment, retention, and promotion of outstanding scholars from different backgrounds, with an emphasis on attracting individuals from groups who have been historically underrepresented in science. The goal of this program is to recruit, mentor, and support the transition of outstanding candidates from postdoctoral assignments to research active, tenure track faculty members. In addition to mentorship within the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science, the Bridge to the Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate will participate in a cohort-based mentoring experience through the Office of the Vice Provost for Diversity, where they will have the opportunity to meet other Bridge to the Faculty Scholars. Successful postdocs with department approval will have the opportunity to transition to faculty starting in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Duties:
The ideal candidate’s research will be focused on advancing biobehavioral nursing science for adults with complex health disorders, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, and more. Potential areas of interest include but are not limited to: health disparities and health equity, health promotion and disease prevention, symptom science, self-management, end of life and palliative care, and biological mechanisms and markers. A successful candidate will work with established UIC faculty to develop an independent and competitive research program that would make them attractive for conversion to an open UIC tenure track faculty position in the Department after two years. Research duties will include peer-reviewed publications, submission for extramural grant funding, and the preparation of a detailed research plan that will be used to apply for a position as a tenure track assistant professor in the Department that would start in August 2023. The post doc research associate will engage in a mentored teaching experiences, including co-teaching one course at the undergraduate or graduate level during the second year.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed their PhD in Nursing or a closely related health science field within the past three years – no earlier than August 15, 2017 and no later than August 15, 2021. This is a full-time position including a competitive salary and benefits package.

POSITION: Full-time (35 hours/week) Study Coordinator
ORGANIZATION: CUNY Institute for Implementation Science and Population Health, HIV Prevention study with Men who Have Sex with Men
Position Description: Seeking a full-time (35 hours per week) Study Coordinator with experience in the areas of HIV Prevention with sexual and gender minorities. The Study Coordinator will be working across multiple NIH-funded projects focusing on HIV prevention and sexual health of sexual and gender minorities. The Study Coordinator will be responsible for minor and moderately complex research and analytic tasks as part of a research team, as well as working individually, under various degrees of supervision.
Requirements:
- MS/MPH in public health or MA/MS in social or behavioral sciences required
- At least 2-3 years of research experience in closely applicable research
- Intermediate to advanced skills in writing syntax in SPSS
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Friendly demeanor, and ability to communicate with research staff and research participants
Responsibilities:
- Study Coordination:
- Creating and maintaining study documentation including study protocols and recruitment materials
- Keeping detailed and accurate documentation related to study
- Communication with participants on sensitive subject matter (including HIV testing)
- Maintain confidentiality as required by the project or as directed by supervisors
- Data collection:
- Assist in programming and testing surveys using Qualtrics software
- Conduct interviews & assessments of research participants/subjects

- Prepare datasets for analysis including recoding variables, merging datasets, computing scores, and performing quality control to assure dataset quality
- Data analysis:
- Assist in conducting quantitative descriptive analyses, calculate inferential statistics between groups, and regression modeling

- Assist in literature reviews for papers or presentations
- Assist in writing manuscripts for publication

Additional preferred qualifications:
- Background in HIV/AIDS research, LGBT Health, and alcohol/drug use issues
- Ability to write syntax/code in R or SAS
- Familiarity with Qualtrics and Access Database management
- Spanish language fluency

POSITION: Community Based Youth Diversion & Development Program Manager
ORGANIZATION: Los Angeles County Office of Diversion and Reentry
The Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR) is seeking Program Managers to work on Youth Diversion and Development Programs that involve partnerships between youth-serving providers and local law enforcement agencies to connect youth to community-based activities and services in lieu of arrest.
ODR’s Division of Youth Diversion and Development (YDD) was created 2018 to provide contracting and coordination to community-based programs in order to advance an evidence-informed, coordinated, and comprehensive model of youth diversion and youth development that empowers community-based organizations as the primary providers of youth diversion services in lieu of arrest with the goal of equitably reducing young people’s involvement with the justice system in Los Angeles County. Diversion providers who are awarded YDD program contracts will receive funding, ongoing tailored capacity-building, connections to potential partners for referral and service coordination, and other resources for data collection, evaluation, and communication.
Responsibilities of YDD Program Managers:
ODR is seeking candidates who have experience in youth engagement or youth-focused program management, collaboration with diverse stakeholders (including but not limited to service providers, youth advocates, law enforcement agencies), a background or strong interest in criminal justice reform policy, and skills in building and improving partnerships to support program innovation.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Provide operational, relationship-building, and project management support to program partners;
- Develop and lead technical assistance, capacity building, and program-related support to program partners and ensure successful implementation in alignment with YDD and program goals;
- Support relationships, build trust, and facilitate meetings with project team members, community partners, and other stakeholders;
- Identify and prepare future partners (including law enforcement and service providers) for youth diversion programming;
- Compile metrics and data and ensure that the program is on track for participant engagement and delivery of care coordination activities;
- Design and implement creative and evidence-based program services;
- Work with the YDD Director and YDD Research & Policy Manager to support additional activities and event planning related to program strategy, assessment, and data-driven improvement; and
- Provide administrative support for YDD meetings and functions.
Qualifications:
- At least four years of experience in youth-focused program operations and management.
- At least four years of experience facilitating diverse community collaborations; juvenile-justice reform collaboration experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, desire to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, and ability to collaborate with many levels of diverse stakeholders and staff.
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, attention to details, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Community Development, Criminal Justice or related field.
