The 2016 APHA Annual Meeting, to be held in Denver, Colorado later this month, will feature 10 presentations from CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy students.
Dean Ayman El-Mohandes praised the students’ research, “I am delighted by the breadth of our student research to be displayed at the Annual Meeting this year. Our students are engaged in important projects throughout New York and beyond, and this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their work.”

Jonathan Corbin will present “Is occupational hearing loss associated with an increased risk of diabetes?”

Gabrielle deFiebre will present “Family Medicine Residents Trained in Abortion: 5 Years Later“.

Jesus Barrios will present “Behind Bars Without Citizenship: Immigration Detention and Queer Public Health in the Deportation Era“.

Sitaji Gurung will present “Determinants of routine healthcare for transgender women residing in New York City“.
