Root Cause Collective
Mission
To mitigate, resist, and undo the deleterious community health effects of racism, gentrification, and market justice.
Who we are
A public health student organization at Hunter College chartered in the fall of 2014 to foster community for students interested in social justice and public health. We attempt to accomplish our mission through continuous interdisciplinary student and faculty dialogue, community engagement and partnership, and advocacy in addressing the structural and social determinants of health.
Recipient of the CUNY School of Public Health David Kotelchuck Award for demonstrating strong commitment to public service, June 2015
