New York City is facing a blood shortage and you can help by donating!

CUNY SPH will be hosting a blood drive, in conjunction with the New York Blood Center, on Tuesday, September 16, from 12pm-6pm at the CUNY SPH campus (55 W. 125th Street, Ground Floor). We want to do our part to help save lives in our community.

Donation appointments are now available and we are inviting our community to schedule your appointment today. Walk-ins are also welcomed. Will you join us?

Donating blood is easy, safe, and convenient. It takes only about one hour of your time and each donation can save up to three lives. Your donation can help cancer patients, accident victims, people undergoing surgery, women during childbirth, people with sickle cell disease and many more. All persons who are in good health, 17 years or older, and who weigh at least 110 pounds are potentially eligible to donate. You can find more information about eligibility, how to prepare, and what to expect here.

We’re excited to welcome the Psi Lambda Lamdba chapter “Gotham City Ques” of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity as partners in this year’s blood drive, who are supporting our drive by pledging to donate.

Thank you for your support!

This initiative is a collaboration between CUNY SPH students, faculty, staff, and the Harlem Health Initiative.
