POSITION: Fieldwork Placement: Public Health Solutions Symposium Series

ORGANIZATION: Public Health Solutions

Description:

Public Health Solutions (PHS) is producing a virtual Symposium Series, entitled A Community-based, Actionable Model for Health Equity in NYC, with leaders from health, healthcare and human services sectors to address New York City’s inequitable and fragmented service delivery laid bare during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Series will create a framework for a new and sustainable human services infrastructure that drives community impact.

The first symposium titled: Integrating Human Services and Clinical Services with Clients at the Center will be held on Friday, November 13. Dates for the two subsequent symposia have not yet been confirmed, but we expect to host them in first quarter 2021.

PUH seeks a CUNY SPH student to help in producing the Series and ultimately supporting the creation of a road map report that helps set priorities and a course for future roles and work around health equity and social determinants of health.

This would be a fieldwork placement leading to a Capstone project which would present the roadmap, and also potentially a plan for evaluating participation and effectiveness.
