Join this session to learn more about Industrial Hygienist career opportunities at Washington State Dept. of Labor and Industries. As an Industrial Hygienist, you’ll keep Washington’s workforce safe by evaluating and controlling occupational health hazards. The hazards you’ll address include noise, chemicals, blood-borne pathogens and other physical and biological agents. Your ability to maintain composure and sensitivity in challenging situations will be great assets. You’ll prepare and calibrate industrial hygiene sampling equipment, and you’ll make suggestions for abatement and provide materials to assist with compliance.
