SUMMARY:Systems Science Club October Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The systems science journal club is a monthly meeting space for CUNY SPH students and faculty to come together and learn more about systems modeling methods and discuss their applications to public health research. \nThis club meets once per month to discuss a selected systems science-related journal article\, book chapter\, news article\, etc. The club will also be hosting other types of events in future meetings\, including guest speakers\, seminars\, and workshop events. \nOur next journal club meeting will be on Thursday\, October 30th from 12pm-1pm in-person (room 825) and on Zoom. The paper we will be discussing is “Using system dynamics to develop policies that matter: global management of poliomyelitis and beyond” by Kimberly M. Thompson and Radboud J. Duintjer Tebbens \nWe hope you can join us! \nPlease email systemsscienceclub@gmail.com or jose.mazariego@sph.cuny.edu to receive the invite with the Zoom link or if you have any questions. \nThis event is open to all CUNY SPH students and faculty. Our goal is to make this an open space for anyone interested in exploring systems science methods\, regardless of prior experience. \n
