Barrett\, JDProfessor of Law\, St. John’s University \nJohn Q. Barrett is a Professor of Law at St. John‚Äôs University in New York City\, where he teaches constitutional law\, criminal procedure\, and legal history. He is also an Elizabeth S. Lenna Fellow and a Board member at the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown\, New York. \nBarrett\, a renowned teacher\, writer\, public commentator\, and lecturer\, in the U.S. and internationally\, is writing the biography of Robert H. Jackson (1892-1954)\, U.S. Solicitor General\,Attorney General\, Supreme Court Justice\, and chief prosecutor of Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg following World War II. \nBarrett discovered and edited Justice Jackson’s now-acclaimed memoir That Man: An Insider’s Portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt\, which is both F.D.R. biography and Jackson autobiography. \nBarrett has authored numerous articles and chapters\, including on Justice Jackson and Nuremberg\, and his regular ‚ÄúJackson List‚Äù emails‚Äîhundreds are archived at thejacksonlist.com‚Äîreach well over 100\,000 readers around the world. \nBarrett is a graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Law School. Before beginning his teaching career\, hewas a law clerk to U.S. Circuit Judge A. Leon Higginbotham\, Jr.\, at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia\, Associate Counsel in the Office of Independent Counsel Lawrence E. Walsh (Iran/Contra)\,and Counselor to the Inspector General in the U.S. Department of Justice.” \n
