SUMMARY:Training for ALERRT CRASE: the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events
DESCRIPTION:Lt. Desiree Joyner\, Assistant Director of Public Safety\, is hosting a tabletop active shooter training called ALERRT CRASE. \nALERRT CRASE is the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course\, designed and built on the Avoid\, Deny\, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004\, provides strategies\, guidance\, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. \nTopics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events\, civilian response options\, medical issues\, and considerations for conducting drills. This training will be instructed by Lt. Adan Rivera (Department of Public Safety at Baruch College). \nFaculty\, staff and students are welcome to attend.  \nThis is a 2 hour training and will include a Q & A. Breakfast will be served. \nWednesday\, March 25  | 9:30am – 11:30am | Rooms 717 and 800 \nPlease RSVP by March 18 \n
