DESCRIPTION:The Transgender Day of Remembrance acknowledges the losses endured due to anti-transgender violence over the past year. We honor those lost. We continue the fight for justice in their names and all folks in the transgender community. This event will provide a forum to discuss this public health problem and encourage general memorialization by way of sharing words\, art\, and calls to action. \nOrganized by The Women’s Center and LGBTQIA Safe Zone Hub at LaGuardia Community College\, the LGBTQ+ Student Center at City College of New York\, and the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy Student Services. \n
